I believe in surrounding ourselves with beauty that reflects God's creation and the life-giving messages of his Word. 

My younger brother, Dan and his beautiful wife Kayla; both devoted, servant-hearted, rooted in love, Christ-followers held the same beliefs. Their faith ran deep. When our lives changed forever as result of a car accident on February 14, 2016, I found myself digging deep for the hope and refuge only the Lord could provide.

Years ago, I was researching the Alpine Rose. I found it fascinating how such a beautiful flower could survive just above the tree line in the severe weather of the Alps. I began to draw similarities in our daily walk with Christ and the contrast of worldly values here on earth.

The hope we have in Christ is reflected in the Alpine Rose. This flower is proof that beauty can bloom in the midst of challenge. Growing at an extremely high altitude, the Alpine Rose flourishes where other plants cannot, simply because its roots dig down much deeper than most. When you look at the Alpine Rose thriving in its harsh environment, you can't help but ask yourself, "How?" It finds the richest soil that can only be reached with extremely deep roots.

Some look at our lives and wonder, "How?" "How do we continue smiling, continue thriving when two of the most incredible people were taken from us far too soon?" It is through Christ alone, being rooted and established in Him.

Dan and Kayla’s story points to Jesus and our family wishes to continue sharing that love and the power that comes from digging deep and establishing your roots in Christ alone. My prayer is that you may always see the beauty in life even in the harshest environments.

Foundation Purpose: Inspired by and in the memory of Daniel and Kayla Amos, the No Matter of Miles Foundation, LLC was founded in February of 2018.
